PushPull is a work of art that uses moving images, time and sound to create an immersive experience. Hyde’s work often portrays the body in combination with specific spaces. This work plays with space and the body in a number of ways. The space provides psychological metaphor as well as structural parameters for actions of the figures. The stark black and white imagery, along with the sound is meant to depict an uneasy emotional state – somewhere between hope and dread, the push and pull of wanting and rejecting.

"It was one of the most captivating and deeply psychological and spiritual engagements with art that I've experienced in years. Spellbinding."

"I spent 40 excellent minutes experiencing Push Pull. So lucky - had the space to myself! Wonderful. Put a chair in the center of the room for awhile. Walked in front of the screens a bit. My shadow interacting with the film. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Handed my chair over to another lucky viewer on my way out. Thank you Jenny Hyde."
